Our Awards Showcase
We firmly believe that what we do is worth doing well. Over the years we have collected a number of top quality awards confirming how first class is our service to clients.
This good for you when you are asking, “What kind of reputation is held by this law firm?” Your shopping around for quality has already been done and confirmed by an independent authority you can trust

Only a select few firms gain this award from the Law Society. It is a mark of quality in Legal Practice Management called LEXCEL. The firm is audited for best practice in management including our personnel, our service, our recruitment, and our various operations.
Jim Murray says, “If the country’s top legal body gives us their top award, it can only be good for our clients…”

This is the Government Quality Mark in Teaching and Training. Partner Paul Fletcher is a senior university law lecturer. He has developed the firm into an extraordinary teaching and training legal centre. This mark confirms how high are our criteria in recruiting, selecting, and training all our lawyers.
The same award is behind the standards set by our superb set of admin staff who assist our lawyers in so many ways.
Paul Fletcher says, “We have held this award since 1996 and now have, one of the best levels of staff retention in Merseyside. This is great for our clients. Everybody here knows everyone else, and can rely on them.”

The Legal Services Commission audit against this Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) to ensure that firms offering Specialist legal services are well managed and legal aid work is well organised. We hold the SQM in the legal aid work of Family Law, Housing and Police Actions.
Partner, Mark Ellis says, “If the Government trust us with public money as much as they do, then you can be sure that every penny is used efficiently to get the best for our clients out of their cases. “

This SQM award from the Legal Services Commission recognises our Quality Mark in Criminal Law for Criminal Legal Services, with special reference to case management and outcome analysis.
This award is peer reviewed, and so law firms from accross the country assess us. We have to convince them that our client systems are geared to the highest standards.
Our Dave Brown, a leading Liverpool lawyer, and Chair of the local Institute of Legal Executives says, “The commission only award this gong if we get results for our clients…”

Here have won entry onto several Family Law specialist panels. The Law Society in London’s Chancery Lane, accredits individual lawyers to their specialist panels.
Donna Dean, lawyer in the department says, “The Society singles out specialist lawyers who have worked successfully to achieve this standard.”

Duty solicitors are criminal lawyers specially chosen and paid for by the Government and who are so experienced that they can give solid advice and assistance to anyone who walks into court with even about the most serious of cases.
Steve Charters, is one such specialist. He says, “We have just about the largest team of Duty Solicitors in the North West – not really really surprising given the size, strength and depth of our criminal team.”

This award, again, is made by the Legal Services Commission. It is only given to law firms with lawyers who achieve a high standard of expertise in Personal Injury litigation.
Paul Rogan, solicitor says, “Many people cannot afford the expense of a Conditional Fee Agreement. Other law firms send them here as are one of the few which are trusted to use public funds to fight their case”

It is so important that lawyers dealing with children are well qualified. Vulnerable children can get lost in the massive family justice system, and need a strong lawyer on their side.
Sara Mullin, family law solicitor says, “The Legal Services Commission have given our specialist lawyers this award, and so parents can be certain we have been assessed to look after every legal aspect their children’s journey through he courts”.
